If your kid is looking to learn music, you might want to consider a summer camp. Not only do these programs offer fun, but they can also teach kids many skills.
Kids benefit from time at camps in numerous ways, such as developing independence and self-confidence. They also build resilience, creativity, and other important traits.
Musical Theater & More Camp
Musical theatre programs are a great place to explore a variety of kids’ talents. They help kids develop their social skills and make new friends who share the same passion for performing. The program also helps kids improve their confidence and self-esteem.
These week-long camps themusicstudio.ca/summer-camp-guide/ are a perfect way to introduce children to the world of musical theatre. Each week is dedicated to a different Broadway show. They rehearse the songs and the choreography from a specific show and perform at the end of the week.
Participants learn audition techniques, basic theatre design and acting while participating in a weekly showcase. Each day includes music class, dance rehearsal, drama based workshops and opportunities to socialize with other campers.

Kidzrock Camp
Kidzrock is a nationally acclaimed band music program that teaches children as young as 4 years old how to play an instrument in the setting of a rock band. Students in this half-day camp rehearse and perform on drums, electric guitar and keyboards. They learn the basics of each instrument through song work involving instrumental rock songs written specifically for this program.
Social Skills: Participating in a band or orchestra provides kids and teens with a new circle of friends who share the same passion. It also helps to build and improve coordination, cooperation and teamwork.
Creativity: Your child’s creativity will flourish as they experience new activities, learn new musical skills and express themselves through the music they play and contribute to their band.
If you’re looking for a summer music camp to keep your kids engaged and happy, this is definitely one to consider. It’s a great alternative to summer “daycare”. The counselors are all very nice and supportive of the kids which makes the whole experience that much more fun!
Kids Music Boot Camp
Kids Music Boot Camp is an immersive band experience for young musicians. Students explore rock music with a focus on learning guitar and drums. They also learn basic note reading, improvisation, and singing on pitch. They practice their musical skills through fun games and activities, then showcase them in a final day performance.
Music is a great way to build confidence. Many children don’t have the opportunity to explore music in school or at home, but a music camp allows them to try new things and develop their talents. In addition to building their musicianship, they can make new friends and become more confident.
These 10-week group classes are a great introduction to music, with no previous experience needed! Children ages 6-8 will enjoy learning piano, sing and play rhythm games through this fun summer music program. This is a great trial class before committing to private lessons on a particular instrument.
