A full parts supply and management operation is based at Head Office in Peterborough with over 12,500 product lines held enabling a first time fix rate of 99%. The core stock is bespoke to each region ensuring the local service team has what they need for a quick response. The national network of Hobart Service Centres also has access to the same inventory providing a truly nationwide service.
The Contract provides for the provision of services by Hobart to maintain the Hobart replacement parts in a satisfactory condition, except that any remedial work outside normal servicing or which involves removing and replacing the Equipment or its parts will be charged at a Time and Material Rate by the local Service Centre. The costs of the parts required for the repair will be quoted by a Hobart technician and agreed with the Customer prior to the commencement of the work. Unless otherwise specified in the Contract, the parts supplied and fitted to the Equipment will be Hobart manufactured parts.
Any claim under this Warranty must be made within 30 days of the date of the invoice for the Services or the Supply of the Parts and must include a detailed explanation of the alleged defect. Hobart will examine all claims and, if deemed appropriate, re-perform the Services or replace the Parts. This is the Customer’s exclusive remedy and obligation under this Warranty, except for claims arising as a result of misuse or negligence, accident, improper installation, unauthorized alteration or repair or abnormal working conditions.
The provisions of this Contract are subject to Hobart’s credit approval and may be revised from time to time at Hobart’s discretion. In the event that a Hobart Technician is not able to carry out a service due to a lack of parts availability, a written quotation will be provided by a local Service Centre. This quotation will include the cost of any additional parts required for the repair and a payment plan for these parts. The Services will not be carried out until the Customer has agreed in writing to the proposed payment schedule. Hobart may withhold services or parts if Customer is in arrears of payments as set out in the Service Agreement.
